
Cromwell, CT – November 19, 2008-The Women Advocates for Youth (The WAY) is holding their official Chartering Ceremony from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Legislative Office Building (Room 2E) on 300 Capitol Avenue in Hartford, CT on December 5th, 2008.
The WAY consists of women of influence and concern that have joined together as an advocacy group to provide opportunities, role modeling and assistance in the shaping of services for young girls at The Children’s Home in Cromwell CT. The group hopes to inspire these girls to believe in themselves so that they can create a successful and healthy mind, body and spirit.
Governor Jodi Rell, Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz, National Correspondent Natalie Morales and Barbara DeBaptiste, former Commissioner for the National Committee on the Status of Women and Convener of this initiative, are just some of the influential women that are committed to the cause.
